Previous rides: Suzuki Trail 90, Honda CB125, Triumph Tiger 200, all of which were borrowed. Got my own first bike in 1977, a Honda CB400 Four. Had it for 10 years, and have been kicking myself ever since for selling it. I didn't ride for 10 years, until I got the itch for the Savage, and I have no regrets. Back when I had the Honda, people would ask "Is that really a four-cylinder?" Now they ask "Is that really a single-cylinder?" And no one can accuse me of having a Harley clone.

Reason I ride: It clears my head. It has nothing to do with computers. It scares children and small dogs. It's primitave enough that I can tinker with it to my heart's content.
